About Me

So how am I? I am a girl named Estelle, currently on a gap year. Which for me is a very undefined year. And honestly, I am very unsure of what I want out of this year but also out of life. There are a lot of options which for me can become quite scary. Especially since I struggle a great deal with anxiety and everything that entails, but something that has always felt like a safe space for me is books. Books might be too elusive of a term but for me, books mean millions upon millions of worlds where people of all sorts live and experience what living means to them. Books create realities that live on for centuries and help us feel seen and loved. I love how it can be about anything and someone, anyone can find it interesting.

That’s why I created this blog, to help people find books they love and encourage people to read. You don’t have to be a genius to enjoy reading and it does not have to be a space where you feel discouraged because you do not have a full-blown degree in literature or have a particularly delicate and unique taste in books (it is obviously amazing if you have these attributes, but it does not give a person more right to read and enjoy books then anyone else). So whether you’re a seasoned bookworm or just taking your first steps into the world of literature, I am here to make your experience as exciting and fulfilling as possible with a sprinkle of humor, a dash of relatability, and a whole lot of bookish charm. So let us be fellow companions on this reading journey.

Furthermore, I will be reading books such as Emma by Jane Austin to The Poppy War by Rebecca F. Kuang. When it comes to my preferences in literature I would say that I foremost enjoy fiction and within fiction, I would say I prefer fantasy, romance, young adult, new adult, sci-fi, dystopian, and mystery. But I am open to reading most other genres too.
